Lander University Announces New Faculty Tenures and Promotions for the 2022/23 Academic Year

Faculty_Tenure_and_Promotion-2022.jpgThe Provost and University Tenure and Promotions Committee at Lander University have announced the decision to promote and/or grant tenure to outstanding members of the Lander University faculty for the upcoming 2022/23 academic year. Tenure and promotions are awarded to those members of faculty who have demonstrated themselves to be effective professors, skilled researchers and valued members of the University community.

Promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, with tenure, are Linda Carson, of the Department of Government, Criminology and Sociology; Dr. Matthew Peters, of the College of Business; Dr. Shana Southard-Dobbs, of the Department of Psychological Science and Human Services; and Stephanie Yonce, of the William Preston School of Nursing.

Promoted to Senior Lecturer is Dr. Michelle Deady, of the Department of Physical Sciences.

Promoted to the rank of Professor are Dr. Martin Charmichael, of the Department of Physical Education and Exercise Science; Dr. Mandy Cleveland, of the Department of Psychological Science and Human Services; Dr. Albert Dukes, of the Department of Phsycial Sciences; Doug McAbee, of the Department of Art+Design; and Dr. Kimberly Richburg, of the Department of Government, Criminology and Sociology.
